ReplyDeleteHi! I am a follower and I don't know why you chose Ivy and Elephants, but could it be because of a sorority? Your blog is beyond gorgeous!! And what a magnificent giveaway--WOW!!!

ReplyDeleteHi Ladies!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 2 months. The elephant represents the strong hearts of the Delta Sigma Theta sisters and the ivy stands for the strong, long lasting friendships of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. Is it ok that I did a little research? Love your blog name and what it represents!

ReplyDelete2nd comment-I am a follower!

Love your blog! I know that there was a lot of symbolism in Victorian times--perhaps Ivy and Elephants is taken from there? Even if its not, I love the name (HUGE elephant fan!)

Thank you very much for the invitation. The winner be a lucky and a very happy person. I am new follower. I am inclined to agree with Lynn on your title. I do not do Facebook or Twitter. My "smarts" does not understand the linking process. I will be back to see what other great posts you share.

ReplyDeleteI became a follower and listed you on my favorite blog list.

Best wishes on your new Blog. It looks like you already have a jump start. You go girls.
Hugs, Jeanne
It may be for Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha. However I believe that you are strong, family oriented women with a keen sense of family like the beloved Elephant. Ivy speaks of endurance, determination and beauty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. Hugs, Ginger
I'm a follower.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the name comes from the fact that Ivy is a hardy and beautiful plant that grows in a lot of places. And Elephants because it's a symbol of prosperity and good luck.
ReplyDeleteHey lovely ladies! What a fantastic giveaway! That bottle is just gorgeous and you know we are happy followers/friends of your incredible blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteVanessa
I just 'liked' you on Facebook too!
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Hi Girls,
ReplyDeleteTook your button and is already on my blog.
Smiles...Lu
Congrats on 2 months! Having read the comments I feel as thought I'd be cheating to say symbols of your sororities. How about I just guess that they are things you love :-) The ivy in the elephant at the beginning of your post is just precious and so is the pretty bottle. Thank you for your generosity!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I seem to believe that the name of Ivy and Elephants has something to do with both of your mothers. Perhaps one is named Ivy and the other one likes or liked elephants and collected them. If you are sisters, still think mother's name is Ivy and she collected elephants.
ReplyDeleteRainbows and Smiles...Lu
I am a follower, however I would be just making a wild guess as to your fabulous blog name!

New follower here! I think I'm going to like visiting you both very, very much!
ReplyDeleteOnly 2 months blogging? You are so fantastic already! I predict great success!
ReplyDeleteOkay, here is my guess -- one of you lives in an ivy covered cottage and the other collects elephants (I noticed quite a few when I read past posts). Or, you met at a circus and you both have ivy tattoos. Whatever the reason, the name of your blog is intriguing!
Just put your button on my sidebar. Welcome to the world of blog!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower and would love to be entered in your beautiful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteDee
HI to both of you. I just became your follower because I like your style and your blog. About why you chose your blogs name. Maybe ones first name is Ivy and the others surname is Elephant. Why not. I would love to enter in your give away. I hve a give-away too.
ReplyDeleteBy the way. My name is Riet, and I live in Holland.
I first thought maybe that's what captured your hearts, but then I saw the comment regarding your sororities! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteSo~only one of you must be a Delta and the other one belongs to AKA. It's amazing you can actually be friends. hehehe
ReplyDeleteWell, I've been a follower of your sweet blog and I really don't have any idea on why you chose your name. It is a great name, though!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janet
I'm definitely a follower...I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower~
ReplyDeleteI think you've always wanted to have a pet elephant and are filling your basement with ivy to feed him with. Now to fill the tub with peanuts...
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...the name could be due to a sorority, club, or your fave things. :) Fabulous giveaway. I'm a follower too. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous giveaway! I am not sure why you chose the name Ivy and Elephants but I love that it is very unique :).

ReplyDeleteI just followed you on twitter too!

Hello Lovely Ladies~
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bottle. Love seeing such creative ways to use old thing.
Have a wonderful weekend~
Now after seeing these fabulous old photos and reading your blog I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that you name stems from more than the elephant plant holder with the ivy plant in it. My guess is that as two creative mothers you love helping things grow and making memories. An elephant never forgets, right? lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, this is one very stylish and ultra classy place to visit! Peace, Love and Rock on, Sistas! Julia<3
ReplyDeleteWhy Ivy & Elephants???? Did your grandmas collect elephants and loved ivy plants! Please enter me in your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWishes & Kisses!
