What's It Wednesday #104
I'm sharing a new find that I'm berry happy with. It's not these luscious berries, although I love them too.
It's my new “old”
spoon rack. I love the ornateness of it. The moment I saw it in the
thrift store I was smitten. It was covered in necklaces (and dust)
and looked forlorn. It took a couple of visits and a lot of begging,
you see it wasn't even for sale. Why are the good things always
marked NFS!
But you see these
beauties are the reason I HAD to have it! I started some time ago
collecting berry spoons. I love the gorgeous details on the handles
and the bowls. Flowers and grapes, even a shell bowl! Each one
unique.
Imagine all those
gorgeous pretties designed to perform a specific service. Just
berries!
Those Victorians sure knew how to live!
Those Victorians sure knew how to live!
I think the rack has
space for about 20 spoons, so I have lots more fun to look forward to
in the new year.
Berry Christmas!
Patti

Hi Patti,
ReplyDeleteoh my, you got me with your spoons. The spoon rack is beautiful but the spoons are fantastic. I am also a spoon collector and your spoons are very close to my collection. I feel a bit embarrassed, but to be honest, we don't had Berry spoons here. Sounds barabric, may be we ate the Berries with a dessert spoon. Don't know, but this type is here called sugar spoon. Anyway, the look all beautiful. Thank you for sharing this eye candies and for hosting this sweet event.
Best greetings, Johanna

ReplyDeleteHi Patti,
ReplyDeleteOh my! I so feel your excitement here over the spoon rack, I too have had a similar beauty to hold my collection of spoons, but, nothing as unique and elegant as yours. I can see why you begged the thrift shop for the piece and so surprised they caved in on pricing it for you.
I too love that spoon with the grapes on it in fact your collection of spoons are all so wonderfully charming and to be able to collect and add to your rack will make it so much more fun.
Truly a beautiful share here you will have me keeping my eyes open just to see if I could spot a similar beauty as yours, only because I know what a rare find your spoon rack is.
A beautiful holiday to you both.
Merry Christmas to you and Paula.
Blessings to you and yours.
Xoxo
