What's It Wednesday #78
It was a bright sunny Saturday and I was ready for my cup of tea.
I started flipping through the beautiful pages of the latest Victoria Classic Cottage magazine.
I found this wonderful section of blue and white porcelains on display. I glanced down at the bottom right picture and noticed this whimsical teapot.
There she was, my teapot. The very teapot I was serving tea from on that very day. I thought "So that is what she looks like in print. Someone else out there likes whimsical teapots". This teapot is actually a tame one compared to many I have seen throughout the years. Many of them are over the top whimsical, but quite beautiful.
Now this has to be the best teapot memory, the day I saw my teapot in one of my favorite magazines.
Do you have a favorite teapot moment?

My love for the teapot began with my collection of blue and white miniature porcelain pieces. As you can see, I love to place them in small birdcages. The small birdcages are actually jewelry cages I picked up at the Home Goods Store.
The tea set on top of the lid of the teapot was ideal, especially for the whimsical side of me.
Now this has to be the best teapot memory, the day I saw my teapot in one of my favorite magazines.

Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here, sipping on my morning coffee, reading your lovely blog, when all of a sudden I see my Father's Day Wall Art featured! Thanks so much. Glad you like it. It was so much fun to create. I love your teapot collection. I once saw a vintage light we salvaged from a rental in a magazine. So congrats on knowing a treasure when you see it!

Thanks for hosting. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteI love your "prissy" teapot. I am sitting at the kitchen table as I read your post. It made me look up to the shelf in the breakfast area. It is lined with teapots, some whimsical. One is very similar in theme as yours. It is so neat that we can meet and make friends far away who have the same taste and interest as we.
