Wine-D Up!

                          What's It Wednesday #160

They say if you "wine a little you'll feel better". So I am all "Wine-D up" about my latest find at the antique store.

This very handsome Edwardian silver wine bottle holder was the perfect accessory for my husband's big birthday dinner. It accommodates pretty much any size bottle of wine or champagne.  This leads to "More wine and less whine".

The bottom of the piece is wrapped with wonderful grapes and grape leaves.

The collar has a pin to keep it in place and adjusts quite easily for pouring and serving your guests. If you really want to impress the guests you can use it to pour wine as you are cooking in the kitchen. "I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food" - W.C. Fields.

All in all it was a fun find that I just love to have displayed on the dining table or buffet.

So tell me..."How much whine would a wine drinker whine if a wine drinker couldn't drink wine?

xoxoxo

Paula, this silver wine bottle holder is gorgeous, and the bottle of wine is pretty itself. Jess and Nel have wine night sometimes, and they really enjoy the wine, food, and conversation.

Have a splendid week.
