Seaside Vacay

What's it Wednesday #178

I wonder if it's because I am Pisces why I feel rejuvenated once I hit the sea.

Our seaside vacays mean...
...slowing down to feast with family and friends since we don't get to do this during the year.

 ...munching on fresh barracuda
and lobster caught by my nephew and grilled on the barbie.

 ...swapping our favorite beachside recipes.

...the kids get to catch-up up with their cousins, aunts, and uncles and dear friends.

...I get to slow down and catch up with my little brother who lives less than five miles from me.

...the kids get to dance their hearts out while we realize how much the kids have grown since last summer.

...continuing a tradition of  the kids and I hitting the beach in our jammies to watch the sunrise and tell God how grateful we are for all that He does for us and for the world.

...new life long friendships are made and this is where they will all take their children

...new animals are discovered to cherish.

...my son now believes he can surf

...hubby relaxes in the pool with his diva princess.

...most importantly, this is where childhood memories are made

 ...No virtual games are played

Kids picking fresh ackee for the very first time
 ...family traditions are passed down

...and my kids can pretend to defy gravity.

Hope you had a fabulous Summer of 2015!

There is nothing like a family vacation with all the trimmings! Sun, surf and seafood! What fun for all! My offering today, a little poetry, is helping me through the process of adjusting to my new life by allowing myself to reflect about the past, a bit at a time.

Oh Paula, so sorry I am late, and to think I almost missed out on the family fun here.
You and your brother have strong gorgeous genes you so stunningly beautiful and that brother of yours strongly handsome, as for hubby in the pool what a wonderful dad to float with his princess, your kids and extended family and friends will cherish these memories.
As for the Lobster on the grill now I am jealous that I am not part of your family, good eats, and family love what else can a family want for.

Blessings my dear, and the memories your children and family will cherish.

Thank you for such a beautiful sharing, it's really was as if you invited all of us blogger friend so long on your vacation with you.
