Ruling The Roost

What's It Wednesday #183
Presenting the newest additions to the coop, "Poulets Sur Chaise". This pair are a gift from a dear friend for my upcoming birthday!

Monsieur

Madame

I just love them on their elegant chairs. We plan to paint the frames a glossy black to match my kitchen better. What a thoughtful gift!

They'll be right at home with M. Coq Blanc, I'm sure he's a little French too, don't you think?

Who's a pretty bird? Why this painted rooster of course! He usually sits up high above the cabinets, I brought him down for his close up.

Does this mean he rules the roost?

This little guy is the oldest in the coop, he's an old snow globe. Look how thick the glass is, so cool. The older I get, the more I love old things. Hmm, think there's any correlation?

These are the smallest hens in the house. Handpainted on a cute little egg carton shaped box by Limoges. Now those are French hens for sure!

Even the clasp is shaped like a hen.

These working girls even lay, fresh eggs for sure! While they all hold a place in my heart, I'm still the one that rules the roost!
Hugs,
Patti

  17. Thank you, so very much, for featuring our fall entry this week. I love all your chicks and roosters, mainly because I've got a collection, too. I think my husband is so glad we live in a condo, because this way I can't have my chickens and sheep that I would so much love to have. LOL! Have a beautiful week, my friends.
