...And The Fork Ran Away With The Spoon?

What's It Wednesday #126

I've been searching high and low for a set of those old wooden spoons and forks from the seventies. The really BIG ones! “Why on Earth?”, you might ask (as did all the shop owners to whom I inquired!) I had an image of them painted white and distressed and hanging on my kitchen wall. Cool, right? Well, I've still not found them.

But I did run across this ceramic set. The faux wood paint was not working for me, but the fancy detailing was right up my alley.

With a little white spray paint I was in business. Then I wanted to give it some presence with a frame.

I love it in the old white frame,

but you know I'm a sucker for any antique frame in gold too. One day I'll find the pair of my dreams and show you my vision. Until then which do you think, white or gold?
