Bucket List

What's It Wednesday #124

I was wandering around Home Depot when I remembered this awesome idea I saw that involved a bucket and my cleaning supplies.
While at the Home Depot I picked up a five gallon bucket. I took out  my cleaning supplies and placed them on the table.

I also picked up this super cool Husky Bucket Jockey that just so happened to be on sale right now for $6.98.

All I had to do was start placing my cleaning supplies and tools in and around the bucket in the super cool pockets. .

Voila! A cleaning caddy that can house everything I need. The Bucket Jockey even has pockets all around the inside. I love how the individual toothbrushes and cases (One for the bathroom and one for the kitchen).

In this caddy are the following: Stainless steel cleaner, silver cleaner, permanent marker, lotion, gloves, cleaning brush, sponges, trash bags, lint roller (to clean my lamp shades), blind duster, chewing gum (for whoever is cleaning), microfiber clothes, scissors, rain-x (great on windows), squeegee, toilet bowl cleaner, cooktop cleaner, baking soda, Mrs. Meyer's Lemon Verbena All Purpose Cleaner (My fave), hand soap, Goo Gone, Brasso, Febreeze, Dawn, WD 40, and Swiffer duster.

By the end of summer my cleaning products will be reduced to mostly Vinegar, Baking Soda, Alcohol, and Mrs. Meyers All Purpose Cleaner. I will add spray bottles to house them. To cut down on the weight of the bucket I put the stainless steel cleaner, Brasso, silver polish, and cook top cleaner back in the cleaning basket. I realized later that I got a little to over zealous but man is this convenient.

This idea came from the fabulous Nikki of At Home With Nikki. She is one of my go to people for fabulous ideas for organizing your home. Her YouTube channel is a must see. Check-out what she does with the toothbrushes when cleaning her home.

So, what's in your cleaning bucket/caddy?

I hate to say this, but I'm not the one doing the cleaning. You see Mr. C loves to clean, he has been the only cleaner since we got together! Now I want you to know this has been difficult for me, but I feel it's my duty as a wife to make him happy, so I let him do it all!

Paula/Patti, I have a bucket much like yours but mine's attached to a little push cart and it's for the garden supplies - it gets used a LOT. Love all your features, especially the table settings.
This week, I'm talkin' bucket lists too - of the travel kind. It's WV's 151st birthday, and I'm celebrating the Historic Greenbrier and its china. This place is steeped in history that dates back to the Civil War. Thank you for hosting and giving us the platform to share!

Great idea on the bucket caddy! I have one that we rarely use for tools so I may have to use it for my cleaning supplies.

Wow, that IS convenient! I'm not sure where I would store it though! All of my cabinets are small. (Or seem to be with all of the stuff I have in there!)

Nice job showing us how it all goes in there! I clean... mostly when company is coming. :)

Thanks bunches for hosting! Got a question - Where do you store your bucket when not in use? I don't have a place to store something that large. I am short on room, and need to make some major adjustments here for all my cleaning/household supplies.

Great storage idea. My husband has had one of those bucket organizers for years. Wish I could remember where we got it, there's a whole catalog dedicated to it. He uses his for tools. Thanks for hosting!

Thanks for the great idea for cleaning supplies. I do this with my gardening supplies that I use when I am working in the yard but it never clicked to use them for cleaning supplies as well.

I appreciate you featuring my tablescape from last weeks link up. It was a nice surprise when I opened up your site today to find it there. Thank you for hosting this weekly party!

Thanks so much for inviting me to ya'll lovely party. I love the cleaning bucket. Great idea.

And no one would be allowed to touch my bucket had I one of those. (why are kids and hubby dancing and shouting behind me?! ;) ahahah)
That's too fancy for me. I tend to be very minimalist with cleaning products. It might be that I lack one of those gorgous that I would happilly fill with wonderful necessary items. By the dozen. I have a rather pretty basket with (just) the essentials.
I have your parties to attend and all the gorgeous people you know to meet so I must not waste my time cleaning ahahahah.
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa
