Tray Chic

What's It Wednesday #130
A couple of weeks ago I asked for your help in choosing between a white frame or gold with my fork and spoon. Most preferred the white, but one person commented that they liked silver above gold. Hmm...

That gave me an idea, what about using a “silver tray”, spray it with black chalk paint and add a “silver” spoon and fork?

I love the detail on this set! I was pleased with the result, but the wall seemed bare and needed something else.

I had these two small trays that are very similar, so I frog taped and sprayed them as well. What to say about a spoon and fork? “Let's Eat!”

For about twelve dollars and some chalk paint I have a sweet wall vignette. Now that's what I call tray chic!
Hugs,
Patti

P/S
Oh I had to show you how I tweaked the fork and spoon. It has a little cartouche that I painted black and added initials.

What else? F and S for fork and spoon. Hope you're having fun with your utensils too!

Thanks to all of you who partied with us last week. Please link-up and join us again. Remember, it's not a party without you!

Here Are This Week's Features:

Don't Forget to Add a Feature Button!
Ivy and Elephants

We are partying with these fine folks:
Come show off your whatchamacallits, what is its, what it once was, and "hey, look what I just did" posts. In other words, what you created, organized, designed or re-designed, found, purchased, transformed, inherited, re-purposed, renovated, are selling, or giving-away.

Party, the picture isn't showing up in the thumbnail. I think there was an error at my end when I was trying to crop it via my iPad (which is always a challenge). It can't be resubmitted or deleted. Help!

Hello ladies, I ahve been away for a long time. During that time we sold our home, packed it all up and moved to Korea. We will be here for two years. Although we are completely settled yet we are growing more comfortable with our surroundings everyday. Hope to get back to crafting soon but I am back to blogging again!!! Hope you have been doing well. LOVE LOVE LOVE your spoon and fork art!

I am all into chalkboard trays, Patti, and I absolutely love yours and the way you have them displayed. They look perfect and, yes, Tray Chic! Chalkboard trays are one of the things I enjoy making for bridal shower gifts, along with some chalk. A previous post of mine was about a large tray I did for my friend. I hope to get back into the swing of things and start making more soon.

So many great ideas from your party! Your posts are always inspiring and I have really missed visiting! God bless you and yours, dear friend.
