Christmas Blues

What's It Wednesday #147
This is the time of the year for happiness and joy, it is after all the birth of our Savior. So even though I’m sharing some blues (and whites) I am thrilled that the holidays are here!

It started off fabulously when I found this vintage ceramic tree at my local Salvation Army for $5.00! I was so happy since I’ve watched one for years.

So the blue and white color started my theme. I was able to use the pretty blue ornaments I got a year ago on sale.

I have tons of blue and white dishes so I just popped in a little bit of cheery holly and it says Christmas to me.

All the birdcage needed was a dusting of snow and it's ready too. Do you have the Christmas blues at your home?
Happy Holidays!
Patti

Away In A Manger

What's It Wednesday #146
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

As we celebrate this glorious holiday season, let us remember the One who gave us the greatest gift, His Son.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Christmas Vanity

What's it Wednesday #145

Apparently, my daughter has been bitten by the Christmas spirit of decorating. She decided that we should decorate her vanity, so decorate it we did. This antique vanity is very special to me. It once belonged to my grandmother when she was a little girl. Now it belongs to my little princess. I found the doll dresser that sits on top at an antique store. Victoria stores her barbie clothes in there.

Victoria was very specific about what she wanted and where she wanted it. I wonder where she gets that from?

She went to the book shelf and choose the book that would be on display next to the vanity. We display books on plate racks.

My little Christmas princess chose all of her favorite Santa Clauses to put on display.

She asked me to place the cranberry wreath at the top of the mirror. I think she got that idea from the wreath on top of a mirror in another room of the house. She grabbed two small Christmas trees but was only able to fit one. She was very happy with her Christmas Vanity. I think her Great-Grandmother would be very pleased. Phew...so glad she didn't ask for Christmas lights. Shhhhhhh!

What Christmas decorating are the kids in your life up to?
