What's It Wednesday #146
And the angel said unto them, Fear
not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all
people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye
shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Let us now go even unto Bethlehem,
and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto
us.
As we celebrate this glorious holiday
season, let us remember the One who gave us the greatest gift, His Son.
Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men.
Patti

I am a little slow in decorating this year. I have been waiting for my grandson to have his birthday. Which he has now!
ReplyDeleteMay the joy of the Christmas season be with you and yours.
Gorgeous nativities. I love the one that looks like ice, the crowns and babe, and the antique one that looks like Hummel. I love that quote. I always think of Linus when I hear it (Charlie Brown) Merry Christmas, Patti. xoxoo

I love all your beautiful Nativity!
ReplyDeleteThe one most special item for Christmas to me is the white nativity my sweet Mom gave me the last Christmas before she passed away.....nothing else matters to me as much as that for this special time of year. And for some odd reason I haven't been able to find it, it hasn't been with any of my boxes of holiday things - and I would NEVER separate it. So I think somehow a box is missing - and, well, I am sad and confused and upset and ask for prayers about this. I know she would be upset I am putting any worth to something material - but I have had it 20 years, she's been gone that long, and it is a true part of my Christmas Joy. Thanks for letting me share this concern, silly as it may sound.
Thank you for hosting, so glad to share the most amazing tea party I was recently invited to attend. ♥
God's blessings be yours.
The birth of a King. That is what it is all really about. Thank you for sharing and for hosting and may the blessings of the Season be upon you.

GLORY GLORY GLORY to He who has given the soul its worth. Oh Patti, what a season of celebration in whatever style we choose. I have always loved your vignettes of silver and gold, of vintage and of whatever makes your heart sing. Thank you also for coming to our little theatre. I love miniatures, and especially when I find a vintage good that I have NO IDEA what it is, I make it into something!

ReplyDeleteSome lovely inspiration here. I do so love your nativity scene. I have always wanted to put one below a large tree but I only have a small cottage now and no room for a big tree. Maybe I will look for a lovely one for next year to place on my mantel or hearth.
