What's It Wednesday #190
The holidays are officially here. The last 100 days of the year are when friends and family decide to drop in.
Sometimes you don't have much time to prepare but you want your guest to feel welcomed.
Entertaining doesn't have to be complicated. A variety of nuts, stuffed olives, favorite cheese, fresh fruit, chocolate covered pretzels, and some sliced prosciutto and you are good to go.
I keep my favorite wine on hand. I chose a red simply because of the rich color.
Family and friends always appreciate good conversation, good food, good wine and a good holiday host.
What's your go to item when family and friends come to visit?
xoxoxo

The vintage tea cup pumpkin is adorable and so clever. Thanks for the lovely features and for hosting this party.
Your hostess tray of goodies is perfect. I'd love to be one of your guests. As for what I like to keep on hand - we always have a bottle of champagne chilled and ready, an assortment of cheeses and crackers, and there are usually some homemade treats in the freezer than can be quickly thawed and served.
Have a great week.
Thanks for the party! Lovely spread you've laid out for your guests!
Thank you for hosting the lovely party!

You really are ready for guests with that lovely tray of goodies. It's true if you have a few go-to items on hand and a welcoming smile, your guests will feel at home. You've made me excited by saying Holiday Season has arrived! Thanks for hosting - great features of which I need to check out the Welcomed Guest's tablescape.
Summer in Australia is certainly time for entertaining and firing up the BBQ, doubly so with the festive season and school summer holidays. As you say a plate of savoury biscuits, cheese, olives etc goes well with a bottle of wine or beer! I prefer a white wine or rose in summer with ice. Have a great week.
Love your setting! Thank you for the party, have a great week!!
i want to stay with you and drink a glass of wine. thank you very much
hugs kuni

Paula, these features are all so terrific. I just finished visiting each one, and all the bloggers do such a good job - well-deserved features.
Love your entertaining set up! You make hosting look so incredibly easy. Oh dear, 100 days, you say? Well, I'm thinking holiday planning, does that count? We've already gotten a jump on our styling in our booth spaces, which I'll be sharing in the coming week or so, but for now, it seems we've been on lots of gathering missions for our little antiquing ventures. This week I'm sharing a dealer friend's living estate. Thank you for hosting us.
