Put A Lid On It!

What's It Wednesday #64
Welcome to What's It Wednesday! Today I'm sharing my latest passion. Now as you know, I just love bling! I was looking for a new way to display it.

Well, I came up with using salt cellars! Depending on the size and shape of the cellar a pin or brooch can make a perfect lid!

I try not to remove the pinning mechanism, because you just never know when you might want to wear it!

This piece however is a little different. The top sparkly bit was a chip on earring and the bottom was a brooch with a pink stone center.

I removed the earring back and center stone for a perfect match!

These are adorable on a dressing table to hold creams and such, or on the window sill to hold rings while you wash the dishes.

I having fun looking for different shapes and colors. Imagine blue ones or silver. Très chic!

Oh who are we kidding, they're just pretty!

Wouldn't they add real sparkle to a table setting? Now that's what I call putting a lid on it!
Hugs,
Patti

Oh, oh, oh Patti,
These little vignettes of bling rhinestone beauty delight there vanity spots, I so love using bling here and there in my home although you may not notice it in my photos or postings, I really should show off a bit of it, you hav so inspired bling beauty and creativeness with it.
I use to take my old tired broches and pin them to a curtain tie back, and sometimes just to the edge of where a curtain panel hangs, also up at the top hem pined to the edge next to the curtain brackets. I would pin them to a lampshade and a fancy hand towel just for looks :)
My daughter has one pinned to a piece of silk ribbon wrapped around the neck of a vintage bottle.

Thank you my sweet friend for gracing your beauty all over this post.

Xoxo
Doré

Hello Patti... enjoying so much catching up with you ladies posts... I have been collecting salt cellars for over 30 years and I love them too!... so fun seeing yours all "blinged" up!... you will be hooked for sure!... I did a post several years back called "Petite Tresors" if you want to take a peek at some of mine... do you collect the salt spoons as well?... I do, but they are getting harder and harder to come by... so sad, drug addicts buy them to use for their drugs... many antiques dealers around here keep them put away and carefully sell them only to legitimate collectors (like you and me!)... as always, I love seeing your exquisite collections... hope Spring has arrived for you!... much love, xoxo Julie Marie Hello Paula!
