I’ve always
had a love for things that are “of an age”, distinguished and filled with

Great features! I like some imperfections! After all we all have some imperdections too!
I agree with you. I love items that show they have been loved.
Happy 4th!
Patti, your treasures abound! What absolutely lovely albums! I cannot believe all the wonderful relics you have and are preserving. That's amazing. Thanks for sharing them with us, and thank you so much for hosting this week's party so we can all link up.

Such treasures you have photographed and shared. My late mom loved little purses like yours. Wishing you a blessed day.
I live by that rule - if I don't love it I don't buy it and have taught my daughter that as well. I often hear her say, "it's nice but I don't love it so I'm not getting it." It saves a lot of money that way and you are always happy with what you have. Your post is lovely!
Patti,
I love all of your treasures. And I agree I buy only what I love. And that goes for things I sell at my booth. When I buying to sell I only buy what I love.Thank you so much for featuring my kitchen.Happy 4th of July!

I love those vintage bags! Thanks for hosting have a great 4th, Laura
Thank you so much for featuring me. I appreciate it more than I can say. I love your collection, everything was made so beautifully in the old days. It's good some of it survived for us to admire and collect.
Thanks for hosting this holiday party! Happy 4th...
Jody
Thanks for hosting this gathering on a holiday! Your treasures are so lovely -- tattered and worn because someone loved them for many years. It is good they found another loving home with you, Patti.
Debra
Hi Patti! You ARE a kindred spirit! So glad we've connected! Your blog is wonderful and I will have to get caught up on your older blogs. Love your treasures, especially the velvet album! I have a weakness for Victorian velvet albums and frames!
Can't wait to meet again!
Gina
ciao, grazie per essere passata ..quante cose belle!!!complimenti e tutto meraviglioso baci a presto lu..
Hi Patti,
this photo albums and candy boxes are to die for. What great time they have experienced. Would be so nice if they could tell us their life. I love old photos, especially when I know, who the persons are. We all get a bit tarnished with the years of our life. Thank you for sharing your rgeat collections and the wonderful inspirations of your features.
Best greetings, Johanna
I could not agree with you more. But now, however, I'm feeling ashamed and ill as I have some albums like this and must figure out where they are!
What a lovely blog and fantastic album, hope you had a beautiful 4th of July xx
How sweet of you to come by with your encouraging words at my place, Patti. You are so right. Freedom has cost us dearly in the treasure and blood of those who serve. Thanks for sharing the holiday with me via the internet!
Liz
Oh Patti, once again I am in awe of your beautiful tresors... they too tug at my heartstrings... I love the way you have with your words, weaving enchantment and romanticism into each and every piece... oooh the stories they could each tell... tattered and torn are all the more precious to me... as I know they were (and are) truly loved... that handbag and coinpurse are my favorites... or wait!... maybe it's the photo albums... no, it's definitely the vintage chocolate boxes... or, or... see how you are?... you have me loving every single one of them!... xoxo Julie Marie (Hello Paula!)
Patti this post struck me right in the heart. I feel the same way about beautiful worn articles with age. You have such a way of photographing your treasures that makes them even more lovely.
hugs from here...
Thank you for having me party this week too! Happy 4th. of July too.
I love antiques and so yeah..I love things that show they've been loved and I could continue loving them in my house! Hugs,
FABBY
Hi Patti, about imperfections, I have a hard time finding beauty in a piece that does not have some imperfections :)
This is a beautiful well written post, and your photo's fit its story soulfully.
Thank you Patti for making time on your 4th to visit me.
I so enjoyed the day filled with red, white, and blue but I am looking forward to what this week has in creative works for me! :)
Have a beautiful week and weekend to come finding pieces that inspire what we so look forward to from you.
Xoxo

Thank you coming over and making such a sweet comment on my blog. I agree about the faded and the flawed; they have a beauty that shiny new things don't.
PATTI DEAR!
Oh that photo album with the beautiful metal embellishments...I found one once at a good price but the entire album was TOO tattered. SO, I took off the numerous metal embellishments and I used those for art projects! I love to see what PARTS of a whole I can use.
I hope you had a wonderful fourth! Isn't it LOVELY to be off from school? The heat was a bit excessive for us to be out. We were invited to go to a friend's house for a cook out but NOT IN THIS INFERNAL HEAT!
LOVE TO YOU PATTI! Anita
It looks so precious!
Thank you girls first for always showing us such cool, amazing finds and helping us to join in the story of these pieces. It is always good to see the beauty you find.
Second, thank for hosting every week and giving bloggers a very classy place to share.
And third, a humble thank you for the feature of the pallet table. It is very much appreciated.

"chipped porcelain, tarnished silver and clocks that don't keep time." sigh...me too! Kindred spirits are WE! (LOVE those gorgeous photo albums!) :)
Dear Patti,
How very kind of you to visit and leave such a sweet note about Darby.
I too, love the worn and tattered.
I absolutely love that old album.. If I were given something like that as a gift I would be in heaven.. To me, holding something as this is holding a part of history and wondering about it's past with the people who owned it.
Beautiful post... I love your collection.
Blessings,
Penny
I love Indian food, looks great~Cheers Kim
Beautiful Albums for sure I would have scooped those babies up! Great treasures enjoy~Cheers Kim
hun I love the same things plus tons more
I like old worn law books also
I just called my friend and she said she still has some to giveaway , maybe I should have a giveway on my blog and give some away? good idea?
They are beautiful pieces! Thank you for joining the Open House Party.
Oh yes, I also have a love for the old, weathered, and tarnished look. The velvet candy box caught my eye because I have always loved velvet, and the victorian photo album is a treasure and very unique. I hope you are having a nice summer. I always enjoy your posts very much.

Beautiful treasures, time worn to perfection!
Thanks for inviting me to link up my project. I am now following you.
I love your vintage collection of albums. They are beautiful. I'd much rather have something worn and loved than something new and impersonal any day.
Oh goodness, I would never pass on those old and worn pieces!! They are gorgeous, I love the photo album and purse, you always have the best stuff!
Carol
yes, I find that the worn stuff appeals to me more and more. It still has to fit in with the rest of my home though. Those are some great pieces!
What lovely treasures! I'm with you I love worn objects that tell a story! Your features are amazing! Each is so unique and so deserving of a feature! I hope your Fourth was very special!
All of the lovelies you featured here I would fall in love with as well. I also respond to the time worn and loved. Thank you for sharing.
Hugs
Diana
Oh Girl did you hit the nail on the head!!! I LOVE that album and have one just like it except mine is green! :) I must pull it out of a hole and show it! :D Yours is just lovely and I share your sentiments! :)
Hugs,
Hello ladies,
wanted you to know you've been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Barbe
Your vintage boxes and books are so lovely. I have an old Bible that belonged to my Great-Grandmother, which was then lovingly used by my Grandmother. My Gramma & I were extremely close, so she gave the Bible to me before dementia completely took her mind. I truly treasure this connection with my family history.
I'm adding your Party to my "Party List," so I can remember to link up some time. I guess I thought your "What's It?" party was just for vintage-type things, but after reading more closely, I realize pretty much anything goes....LOL!
Hope you have a great week!
CAS
Beautiful images! Thank you for linking it up at our party at http://www.FineCraftGuild.com/party/
